Lin Trips week 3

This week started quite well, I begun to create first story images, I read through the ones I already collected and decided to choose the one in which I slammed my face against the mirror, because it is one of my favourite stories to tell as it incapsulated how clumsy and strangely lucky I am. This could have ended incredibly different if the mirror broke or if my face would have turned blue which would have been difficult to explain as it does sound absurd that I just tripped.

The first step I took was to create this rough sketch of the story that does not make clear sense but helped me visualize it before creating the actual comic sketch, using these I was able to get 3 different layouts:

As I did with the introduction, I took the two sketches and asked an opinion about which one made more sense to my mum and sister, then I expanded them into bigger images. I asked once again which one they liked and made more sense to them (which was the first) and used it as a base to create the computer illustrations.

During this period, I accidentally slammed my hand against a metal shelf, it hurt quite a lot and my drawings weren’t as good as they could have been.

I decided against using the same layout I have used with the introduction because I didn’t like how it looked; plus, this way of creating the story doesn’t please me. I will find a new way to create the comic by next week because this is upsetting me and it’s time consuming. I haven’t a lot to say this week as it wasn’t as productive as it could have been, and I am disappointed with my clumsiness.
