SIP Week 2

The second week of the project was fun, I decided to change my SIP project after talking to my tutor and made my previous research useless, but I am happier this way. The story I am trying to illustrate is special to me, so I am excited to work more than ever.

As a start I collected what I had done last year, I did create some work for it but looking at the character design now they do not look good at all, I feel like I become more comfortable drawing characters since then so I decided to take a step back and try to make it right. Taking inspiration from The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Historia book, like last year, I begun from the start, take the story and break it down collecting characters, naming them properly and using the list I begun to create characters in order of appearance.

This is still a work in progress unfortunately:

I began to use an Acrylic base marker named Liquitex. To be honest it doesn’t sit practically well with the technique of drawing I use but maybe I am using it wrong or I am pressing with too much force on the paper with the pencils as I tend to do that when I am too excited.

This week was fairly uneventful, it is taking a while to take out every character out so I have a base to work on, plus the story hasn’t been proof-read yet, so I am unsure on how far along I can truly go.
